We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer Designer - Bridges for our Highway & Bridge Design Group. This position is located in our Corporate Office in New Cumberland, PA. Interested applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, have 2 to 5 years of bridge-related project experience and be familiar with PennDOT design standards and procedures.
Job responsibilities will include performing preliminary engineering studies, design of structural foundations, footings and frameworks, geotechnical testing, hydraulic reviews and permit applications, field investigations to determine effects on structural supports, preparation of engineering plans, specifications and estimates for bridge preservation, rehabilitation and replacement projects.
Candidate must be motivated, able to work independently, meet deadlines and budgets, and be able to communicate effectively with associates, business partners, public officials and contractors. BRADD and MicroStation software knowledge is desirable.
