Civil Engineer Manager for Highways

Corporate Office - New Cumberland, PA

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer Manager for Highways in our Highway & Bridge Design Group.  This position is located in our Corporate Office in New Cumberland, PA.  Interested applicants must possess a P.E., have at least 5 years of Highway-related project design experience and be familiar with PennDOT design standards and procedures.

Job responsibilities will include management of the Highway Section, application of engineering, Smart Transportation, and Right-Sizing principles, related to highway geometrics, traffic control, safety, hydraulics, pavement designs, and context sensitive solutions.  Candidate is responsible for development of final construction and right of way plans, specifications, and estimates as well as coordination of project delivery.  Other responsibilities include management of Highway Section subordinates and activities, client interaction and proposal development, planning and budgeting.

Position requires knowledge of planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects, construction cost estimating, surveying, materials engineering, and skill in reading and interpreting drawings, standards, and specifications used in the design of civil engineering highway projects.
