Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc., established in 1996, is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm servicing public, private and institutional clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Description and Responsibilities
We are currently looking to add a Bridge Safety Inspector to join our Bridge Group in our Pittsburgh office location. This work assignment is expected to start immediately and continue through the end of 2019. Most weeks will require a time commitment in excess of 40 hours.
The individual will be required to complete, among other tasks, the following:
- NBIS inspections
- Condition assessments
- Bridge washings
- Minor maintenance activities
Typical work is 2-3 field days with the remainder of the week spent in the office completing paperwork. The majority of the work would be in Districts 10, 11 and 12. Initial Condition Assessments would add some field time and could include trips into D2 and D9. Paperwork would consist of completion of internal documents and the preparation and submission of NBIS reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred
- CBSI with 3-5 years of experience
- Experience with iForms/BMS2
- Valid Driver’s License
The individual should be a great team player, with the ability to work under limited supervision as needed.
