N&W Appoints Four New Board Members

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. welcomes new board members Jack Raudenbush, P.E., George Smith, P.E., Robert Peda, P.E. and Thomas J. Imholte, P.E.  Returning board members are Paul J. Navarro, P.E., Chairman, Deborah D. Foust, P.G., John O’Connell and Arlene Callahan.
“With the recent acquisition of Raudenbush Engineering, Inc., I am pleased to have the leadership and commitment of Jack and George to the board,” said Paul J. Navarro, P.E., Chairman of the Board.  “N&W has benefited greatly from the talent and expertise of Bob Peda over the past 8 years and I am delighted to recognize his contribution and to have him involved at the board level.  Tom has been a proven leader in the short time he has been with the firm and we will benefit from his insights and counsel.  It is an exciting time of growth at N&W and I look forward to Jack, George, Bob and Tom helping to set the future direction of our firm,” adds Navarro.
Jack A. Raudenbush, P.E., serves as Senior Vice President at Raudenbush Engineering, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Navarro & Wright.   He has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of site development plans and has extensive experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, storm water management, municipal development regulations, transportation engineering and management of all civil engineering services associated with the built environment.  Mr. Raudenbush graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in nine states. He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, Region 2 Governor 2013-2019, American Society of Highway Engineers, Chesapeake Section Member, Greater Middletown Economic Development Corporation, Chairman, Penn State Harrisburg Civil Engineering Advisory Board, and County Engineers Association of Maryland.
George Smith, P.E. serves as Vice President/Senior Transportation Director for Raudenbush Engineering, Inc. He has over 29 years of experience with a broad range of project management and engineering experience including expertise in structural design, geotechnical engineering, highway design, utility relocation and PUC coordination and pavement design.  Mr. Smith has extensive knowledge and experience in bridge inspection and hydraulics and hydrology design. He is a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and Ohio and a member of American Society of Highway Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.  He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, and A.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Robert M. Peda, P.E., serves as Engineering Technology Group Manager and Senior Transportation Engineer for N&W. Mr. Peda has over 40 years of progressive experience in highway transportation planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations. He is responsible for directing the planning and execution of specialty transportation engineering assignments for services related to workforce development, maintenance and operations, materials quality control, and marketing specific company growth areas. Mr. Peda’s career included employment with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, PennDOT Engineering District 8-0, and PennDOT Bureaus of Transportation Planning Statistics, Design, Construction & Materials, and Maintenance & Operations. Mr. Peda graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and A.S. in Forestry. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers, and the American Society of Highway Engineers. He served in various board positions including President of the American Society of Highway Engineers (Harrisburg Section) and as National Director for ASHE Region 4.
Thomas J. Imholte, P.E. serves as Geotechnical Engineering Division Manager for N&W.  Mr. Imholte has 28 years of design and construction experience in the public and private sector markets and has been responsible for geotechnical engineering of numerous highways, bridges and other infrastructure projects. He has worked extensively in the transportation market and has significant experience with design-build projects. Mr. Imholte oversees and manages N&W’s Geotechnical Engineering team, serving our clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Imholte received a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, West Virginia, and Indiana. He is a member of American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Geo-Institute, Central PA Engineers Week Council. Mr. Imholte was selected by the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council to receive the “2015 Engineer of the Year Award.”
