Construction Inspectors and Supervisors – PA Statewide

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc., established in 1996, is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm servicing public, private and institutional clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.  We currently have 10 offices located throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Description/Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Construction Inspectors. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.
  • Communication with the project team and task managers.
  • Attendance at project meetings.

Job Qualifications for TCI – Statewide:

  • One-year construction inspection experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred.
  • One or more of the following certifications: NECEPT, NICET, ACI.

Job Qualifications for TCIS – Statewide:

  • Five-year’s construction inspection experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred.
  • One or more of the following certifications: NECEPT, NICET, ACI.

 Job Qualifications for both:

  • Experience on PennDOT projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to interface professionally with all levels of field personnel and management.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Will require outside work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to work night shift as needed.
  • Past relevant construction experience (within the last 5 years) on roadway, utility, or building construction, including civil earthwork/site work, paving, gates, guardrails, striping and signage, miscellaneous improvements and understanding the importance of project permits.
  • Familiarity with and demonstrated ability to prepare draft modifications and responses to requests for information, process submittals and prepare field observation reports.
  • Familiarity with Government Contracting Procedures.
